Sudha Bhuchar (born 1962) is a Tanzanian-born British Asian actor, playwright, and co-founder of the Tamasha Theatre Company. She is known for her roles in Tamasha's Balti Kings (1999), A Fine Balance (2005), The Trouble with Asian Men (2005), and My Name Is... (2014). Bhuchar has also written numerous screenplays for television and film. Born in Tanga, Tanzania to Indian parents, Bhuchar identifies as British Asian. She spent her childhood traveling between East Africa and India before moving to England at the age of 11. Bhuchar is recognized for her work in theater, focusing on stories of British Asians and aiming to attract culturally diverse audiences.
