Sugar Ray Leonard, born Ray Charles Leonard on May 17, 1956, is an American former professional boxer, motivational speaker, and occasional actor. He competed professionally from 1977 to 1997 and is often regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time. Leonard won world titles in five weight classes, the lineal championship in three weight classes, and the undisputed welterweight championship. He was part of the 'Four Kings,' a group of boxers that included Roberto Durán, Thomas Hearns, and Marvin Hagler. Leonard also won a light welterweight gold medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics. His victories over his fellow 'Four Kings' members helped keep boxing relevant in the post-Muhammad Ali era. Leonard was the first boxer to earn over $100 million.
