Suli Moa

Suli Moa (born 31 December 1986) is a New Zealand playwright, actor, screenwriter, and teacher of Tongan descent. He is best known for writing and performing the first Tongan Play in New Zealand, 'Kingdom of Lote.' Moa has received recognition for his work as a playwright, including the Adam New Zealand Play Award for Best Pacific Play for '12th Round' (2016) and 'Tales of a Princess' (2018). As an actor, he has appeared in productions such as 'A Love Yarn' (2021) and 'Sweet Tooth' (2021). Moa has also contributed as a writer for projects like 'The Panthers' (2021) and 'Shortland Street' (2021-2022). In addition to his creative pursuits, Moa has served as a cultural advisor and has appeared in several short films. Born in Glen Innes, East Auckland, Moa has a diverse background and has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry.
