Susan Browning (February 25, 1941 – April 23, 2006) was an American actress and singer known for her performances in Broadway musicals. Born as Susan Brown in Baldwin, New York, she graduated from Baldwin High School in 1958 and later attended Penn State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in theater arts. After college, Browning acted with the Equity Library Theatre before making her Broadway debut in Love and Kisses. She gained recognition for her roles in musicals such as Shelter, Company, Big River, and Goodtime Charley. Browning received two Tony Award nominations, for Best Actress in a Musical for Company and for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Goodtime Charley.
