Susan Coyne Biography
Susan Coyne (born June 16, 1958) is a Canadian writer and actress, best known as one of the co-creators and co-stars of the award-winning TV series, Slings & Arrows, which aired from 2003 to 2006 and revolved around a Canadian Shakespearean theatre company. She has received nominations for four Writers Guild of Canada Awards and has won three. Coyne was born in Ottawa and comes from a prominent Canadian family, being the daughter of James Elliott Coyne, a former governor of the Bank of Canada. She is also the sister of journalist Andrew Coyne and the cousin of constitutional lawyer Deborah Coyne. Coyne was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada in 2017 for her contributions to Canadian theatre, film, and television as an actor and writer.
