Susannah Doyle

Susannah Doyle (born 5 July 1966) is an English actress, best known for her roles as Joy Merryweather in Drop The Dead Donkey and as Avril Burke in Ballykissangel. She is the daughter of the Irish actor Tony Doyle and grew up watching him perform in small theaters. She trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Her breakthrough came in 1991 when she played Joy in the Channel 4 comedy Drop The Dead Donkey. She has also appeared in various other TV shows including Minder, Soldier Soldier, and A Touch of Frost. After her father's death in 2000, she joined the cast of Ballykissangel as Avril Burke.
