Susannah Harker (born Susannah Owens; 26 April 1965) is an English actor known for her work in film, television, and theatre. She gained recognition for her role as Mattie Storin in the television series House of Cards, which earned her a BAFTA TV Award nomination in 1990. Harker portrayed Jane Bennet in the 1995 TV adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. Born in London, she comes from a family of actors, with her parents being Richard Owens and Polly Adams. Harker attended an independent convent boarding school and later studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama in North London. She has appeared in a variety of contemporary and classic works on stage, in movies, and on TV series.
