Sydney Morton Biography
Sydney Morton (born 1985) is an American stage and television actress, singer, and dancer. She comes from a family with a strong entertainment background, with her maternal grandfather appearing on Broadway in 1933 and her paternal grandfather being a professional dancer during the Harlem Renaissance. Despite her parents not being in the industry, Morton's passion for performing began at a young age, and she pursued her education in musical theatre, graduating from the University of Michigan in 2008. She further honed her skills at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the Upright Citizens Brigade. Morton has made notable appearances in Spike Lee's She's Gotta Have It and Netflix's Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C. J. Walker.
