Sylvester Groth

Sylvester Groth is a German theater, television, and film actor, born on March 31, 1958. He gained international recognition through his roles in Hollywood movies such as Inglourious Basterds and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Groth has also made notable appearances in various TV series including Sense8, Fargo, and Dark. Born in Jerichow, in the former German Democratic Republic, Groth is the youngest of five siblings. He moved to Leipzig with his family at the age of 14 and eventually escaped to West Germany in 1986. Groth studied acting and singing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin, and performed at several theaters across Germany.
