Sylvia Kauders

Sylvia Kauders (1921-2016) was an American actress. Born Sylvia Wolinsky to Russian immigrants in Philadelphia, she grew up in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. After her father's death, Kauders' mother ran a grocery store. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1942. Kauders initially worked in radio and television before dedicating herself to acting in her 60s. Prior to that, she produced and moderated the television program Under Billy Penn's Hat. She also served as a special events director for the City of Philadelphia, working with multiple mayors and hosting celebrities and dignitaries. After retiring, Kauders started her own public relations firm. She made notable contributions to the industry and is remembered for her talent and achievements.
