Takaya Kamikawa

Takaya Kamikawa (上川 隆也) is a Japanese stage, film, and television actor. Born in Hachioji, Tokyo in 1965, Kamikawa began his acting career while studying economics at Chuo University. He joined the theatrical group Caramel Box and became a full-time actor. In 1995, he gained recognition for his leading role as Lu Yixin in the NHK TV drama 'Daichi no Ko,' originally intended for Masahiro Motoki. Kamikawa's exceptional talent and commitment to his craft earned him the nickname 'cyborg' among his colleagues. With a versatile range, he has appeared in numerous movies and TV shows, captivating audiences with his performances.
