Takeshi Aono

Takeshi Aono (青野 武) was a Japanese voice actor and narrator from Asahikawa, Hokkaidō. He was attached to Aoni Production at the time of his death. Aono was best known for his roles in various popular anime series and movies. Some of his notable roles include Shiro Sanada in Space Battleship Yamato, Rihaku in Fist of the North Star, Nurarihyon in GeGeGe no Kitaro, Piccolo Daimao and Kami-sama in Dragon Ball, and Kumahachi Kumada in Kiteretsu Daihyakka. In addition to his voice acting career, Aono also appeared in the first ten One Piece movies and was the official dubbing artist of Joe Pesci and Christopher Lloyd in the live-action field. He is also recognized as the voice of Dr. Wily in the PlayStation-era Mega Man games and Colonel Roy Campbell in the Metal Gear games.
