Tao Okamoto

Tao Okamoto, also known as Tao, is a Japanese actress and model. Born in Chiba, Japan, she began her modeling career at the age of 14 and quickly rose to become one of the biggest models from Japan, alongside Ai Tominaga and Hiroko Matsumoto. In 2009, Tao was one of the faces of Ralph Lauren. She made her film debut in 2013 as the female lead Mariko Yashida in The Wolverine, and later portrayed Mercy Graves in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. Tao has also had recurring roles in popular television series such as Hannibal, The Man in the High Castle, and Westworld. Throughout her career, she has worked on various advertising and editorial projects, including campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and Emporio Armani.
