Taraji P. Henson

Taraji Penda Henson (born September 11, 1970) is an American actress. She gained recognition for her role in Baby Boy (2001) and received critical acclaim for her performances in Hustle & Flow (2005) and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), earning her an Academy Award nomination. Henson has since appeared in numerous films, including Date Night (2010), The Karate Kid (2010), and Hidden Figures (2016), where she portrayed mathematician Katherine Johnson. She has also had a successful television career, starring in the Lifetime film Taken from Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story (2011) and co-starring as Detective Jocelyn Carter in the series Person of Interest (2011-2013).
