Taron Egerton is a Welsh actor, born on November 10, 1989, in Birkenhead, Merseyside. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and began his career in stage plays. Egerton gained recognition for his role as a spy recruit in the action comedy films Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017). He has also starred in biographical films, portraying Edward Brittain in Testament of Youth (2014), the ski-jumper Eddie the Eagle (2016), and singer Elton John in Rocketman (2019), for which he won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. Egerton has recently appeared in the miniseries Black Bird (2022) and the biopic Tetris (2023) for Apple TV+.
