Taylor James

Taylor Austin James, born on May 15, 1987 in Baltimore, Maryland, is an American DJ and MC known as DJ Tay James. He gained recognition after being signed to Unruly Records in 2005. Taylor started his career playing clubs in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore area before becoming Justin Bieber's DJ and MC in 2009. Alongside touring with Bieber, he has released multiple mixtapes and currently serves as a radio DJ on WPGC-FM. In July 2014, DJ Tay James was recognized as HBCU Top 30 Under 30. With a passion for music from a young age, Taylor's journey began when his father gifted him turntables at the age of twelve, sparking his love for DJing and paving the way for his thriving career.
