Taylor Jackson Kinney (born July 15, 1981) is an American actor and model. He is best known for his roles as Mason Lockwood in The Vampire Diaries, Jared in Zero Dark Thirty, Phil in The Other Woman, and Lieutenant Kelly Severide on the American drama series Chicago Fire. Kinney also appeared as Craig, one of Fiona's love interests, on Shameless. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Kinney graduated from Lancaster Mennonite School in 2000 and studied Business Management at West Virginia University. He had notable roles in the TV series Fashion House and Trauma before gaining recognition in The Vampire Diaries. Kinney was featured in Lady Gaga's music video for 'You and I' in 2011. Since 2012, he has been a lead actor in Chicago Fire, portraying a firefighter.
