Terence Nance (born February 10, 1982) is an American filmmaker, writer, director, actor, and musician from Dallas, Texas. He is best known for his directing debut, An Oversimplification of Her Beauty, and as the creator of the avant-garde TV program, Random Acts of Flyness, which airs on HBO. Nance earned his MFA from New York University, where he studied visual art. His 2012 film, An Oversimplification of Her Beauty, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was screened at the New Directors/New Films Festival in New York. The film combines a short film, animation, and an original score to explore the complexities of friendship and relationships.
