Thomas Kretschmann (born September 8, 1962) is a German actor known for his appearances in both European and American films. Some of his notable roles include Lieutenant Hans von Witzland in 'Stalingrad' (1993), Hauptmann Wilm Hosenfeld in 'The Pianist' (2002), Hermann Fegelein in 'Downfall' (2004), Captain Englehorn in 'King Kong' (2005), Major Otto Remer in 'Valkyrie' (2008), and Baron Wolfgang von Strucker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' (2014) and 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' (2015).
