Thomas Patrick Lennon (born August 9, 1970) is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer, director, and novelist. He is best known for his role as Lieutenant Jim Dangle on the series Reno 911!. Lennon has also achieved success as a screenwriter, often collaborating with Robert Ben Garant. They have written scripts for major studio comedies such as the Night at the Museum films, The Pacifier, Balls of Fury, and Baywatch. Lennon was born in Oak Park, Illinois, on August 9, 1970, and graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School in 1988. He started his comedy career as a member of The New Group, which later became The State, and gained popularity through their MTV show You Wrote It, You Watch It.
