Thorgy Thor, born Shane Thor Galligan, is an American drag queen and musician. He gained international recognition as a contestant on the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race and the third season of All Stars. Galligan studied music at the University of Hartford Hartt School and graduated from the State University of New York, Purchase with a Bachelor of Music in viola and violin performance. He is also skilled in playing the cello. Moving to Brooklyn in 2006, Thorgy Thor identifies as a Brooklyn queen and attributes the city's drag style to influencing her aesthetic. Known for his portrayal of Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, Thorgy Thor received the LEGEND award at the 2014 Brooklyn Nightlife Awards.
