Thuy Trang

Thuy Trang (December 14, 1973 – September 3, 2001) was a Vietnamese-American actress known for her role as Trini Kwan, the original Yellow Ranger on the television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Born in Vietnam, Trang and her family fled the country in 1975, eventually settling in California. She initially studied civil engineering at the University of California, Irvine, but transitioned to acting after being discovered by a talent scout. Trang was chosen for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers after a rigorous audition process. Tragically, she passed away in 2001 at the age of 27, leaving behind a legacy as a trailblazing Asian-American actress.
