Hector Juan Samuel 'Tico' Torres, born on October 7, 1953 in New York City, is an American musician, artist, and entrepreneur. He is best known as the drummer, percussionist, and songwriter for the American rock band Bon Jovi. Torres was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 as a member of Bon Jovi. As a youth, he was a jazz fan and studied music with Joe Morello. Before joining Bon Jovi in 1983, Torres played live with Joe Cerisano's R-Band and recorded with various artists, including Pat Benatar, Alice Cooper, and Stevie Nicks. Throughout his career, Torres has contributed to a total of 26 albums with various artists.
