Tillotama Shome Biography
Tillotama Shome is an Indian actress known for her work in several independent film productions. She was born in Kolkata to Anupam and Baisakhi Shome and grew up all over India due to her father's career in the Indian Air Force. Shome attended Delhi's Lady Shri Ram College and joined Arvind Gaur's Asmita theatre group. After completing a master's program in educational theatre at New York University, she visited Mumbai in 2008 and decided to settle there. Shome made her film debut as Alice in Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding and has since appeared in various notable projects. In 2021, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Critics) for her role in the film Sir.
