Tim Conway Biography
Tim Conway (December 15, 1933 – May 14, 2019) was an American actor, comedian, writer, and director. He appeared in over 100 TV shows, TV series, and films from 1966 to 2012. Conway gained recognition for his roles in various projects, including the TV sitcom McHale's Navy where he played the inept Ensign Parker. He was a regular cast member on The Carol Burnett Show from 1975 to 1978, portraying his iconic characters such as Mister Tudball, the Oldest Man, and the Dumb Private. Conway also starred in several films alongside Don Knotts between 1975 and 1980. He was known for his ad-libbing skills and humorous gestures, often causing others in the skit to break character.
