Tim McGarry is a comedian and actor hailing from North Belfast, Northern Ireland. He gained his education at St Malachy's College in Belfast. McGarry is a prominent member of the comedy group Hole In The Wall Gang and is best known for his portrayal of the character 'Da', a fictional Sinn Féin spokesman turned MLA, in the comedy series Give My Head Peace. Apart from his acting career, McGarry has also hosted various radio programs on BBC Radio Ulster, including the popular comedy quiz show, The Blame Game. He is widely recognized for his monologue on the ending credits of the weekly politics show, Hearts and Minds, where he assumes the role of a Belfast 'black taxi' driver. Additionally, McGarry is a patron of Humanists UK and Northern Ireland Humanists, actively supporting the promotion of humanism in Northern Ireland. He is also an enthusiastic supporter of Cliftonville F.C.
