Joseph Timothy Thomerson, known as Tim Thomerson, is an American actor and comedian born on April 8, 1946, in Coronado, California. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Jack Deth in the Trancers film series and has appeared in several low-budget features. Thomerson has also showcased his comedic talents through various television roles. In addition to his work in independent films, he has made appearances in mainstream movies like Uncommon Valor, Air America, Volunteers, Who's Harry Crumb?, Iron Eagle, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Before pursuing acting, Thomerson served in the Army National Guard and worked as a set builder and prop man at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre.
