Timothy West

Timothy West, CBE, is an English actor and presenter known for his frequent appearances on stage and television. He has acted in various popular TV shows such as Coronation Street, EastEnders, and Not Going Out. West's notable roles include Eric Babbage in Coronation Street and Stan Carter in EastEnders. He is married to actress Prunella Scales and is known for their travels together on the Channel 4 series Great Canal Journeys. Born in Bradford, Yorkshire, West is the son of Olive and actor Lockwood West. He attended John Lyon School, Bristol Grammar School, and Regent Street Polytechnic before starting his career as an assistant stage manager at the Wimbledon Theatre.
