Tina Bursill is an Australian actress born on July 24, 1951 in Sydney. She began her career in the entertainment industry after studying drama at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, graduating in 1971. Bursill initially pursued musicals and stand-up comedy before transitioning into more serious roles in theatre. She made her acting debut in 1973, starring as Meg Penrose in the short-lived comedy series 'The People Next Door'. Bursill gained recognition for her roles as Louise Carter in the television series 'Skyways' (1979–1981), Sonia Stevens in 'Prisoner' (1983–1984), and Meryl Knight in 'Doctor Doctor'. Her talent was acknowledged with an AFI (AACTA) Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1987 film 'Jilted'.
