Born on February 7, 1985, in Westlake Village, California, she began her acting career as a child and gained early recognition for her roles in films such as Andre, When a Man Loves a Woman, Waterworld, Corrina, Corrina, and Alice in Wonderland. At age 18, she made a comeback in the 2004 film Napoleon Dynamite, where she played the character Deb.
