Tina Sloan (born February 1, 1943) is an American actress best known for originating and playing the part of nurse Lillian Raines on the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light from 1983 to 2009. She has also had leading roles on other daytime television shows including Somerset (1974–76), Search for Tomorrow (1976–78), and Another World (1980–81). In addition to her acting career, Sloan is a published author, with three books to her name: 'Changing Shoes,' a nonfiction book about aging gracefully, and two fiction books in her romance thriller series, 'Chasing Cleopatra' and 'Chasing Othello.' Sloan attended The Ursuline School and Manhattanville College and studied acting with Bob McAndrew and Warren Robertson.
