Tiny Tim Biography
Tiny Tim, born Herbert Butros Khaury, was an American singer, ukulele player, and musical archivist. He gained popularity with his 1968 hit "Tiptoe Through the Tulips", which showcased his falsetto voice. Born on April 12, 1932, in Manhattan, New York City, Tiny Tim's mother, Tillie, was a Polish-Jewish garment worker, and his father, Butros, was a textile worker from Beirut, Lebanon. Tiny Tim showed a keen interest in music from a young age and taught himself guitar by the age of six. Throughout his career, he continued to perform and preserve music, leaving a lasting impact on the industry.
