Toby Edward Heslewood Jones (born September 7, 1966) is an English actor known for his extensive character actor roles on stage and screen. He trained at L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq from 1989 to 1991 before making his stage debut in 2001. Jones received a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in the comedy play The Play What I Wrote. In 2020, he received his second Olivier Award nomination for his role in a revival of Anton Chekov's Uncle Vanya. Jones made his film debut in Sally Potter's Orlando in 1992 and has since appeared in films such as Infamous, The Painted Veil, Frost/Nixon, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
