Toby Onwumere

Toby Onwumere is a Nigerian and American actor known for his role as Capheus in the second season of the Netflix original series Sense8. He was born in Nigeria and raised in Mansfield, Texas. Onwumere completed his undergraduate acting training at the University of Evansville in Indiana, and later graduated from the University of California, San Diego's graduate acting program with an MFA. He has appeared on stage with Santa Cruz Shakespeare, performing in plays such as Macbeth and The Liar. Onwumere replaced Aml Ameen in the role of Capheus for the second season of Sense8. He made his debut in December 2016 and has also appeared in other projects such as War for the Planet of the Apes.
