Tohoru Masamune (born November 18, 1959) is an American actor known for his roles in various movies and TV shows. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Shredder in the 2014 Michael Bay film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Masamune has also appeared in popular TV shows such as Never Have I Ever, where he played the character Kevin Hall-Yoshida, and Inception. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Masamune spent his childhood in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He comes from a family with a strong academic background, with his father being a top chemistry professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his grandfather being a renowned scientist in Japan. Masamune himself graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
