Tom Basden

Tom Basden is an English actor, comedy writer, and member of the sketch group Cowards. Born on November 30, 1980, in Sutton, Greater London, Basden has written and performed extensively for comedy shows on BBC and Channel 4. He frequently collaborates with fellow Cowards member Tim Key, and the duo has created several two-man shows together. Basden's educational background includes attending King's College School in Wimbledon and Pembroke College, Cambridge. He was vice-president of Cambridge Footlights and performed alongside notable contemporaries such as Stefan Golaszewski, Sarah Solemani, and Dan Stevens. In 2007, Basden's one-man show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, titled 'Tom Basden Won't Say Anything,' won the prestigious 'if.comedy award' for Best Newcomer.
