Thomas Edward Bosley (October 1, 1927 – October 19, 2010) was an American actor, television personality, and entertainer. Bosley gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Howard Cunningham on the ABC sitcom Happy Days (1974–1984), earning a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He showcased his versatile talents in various voiceover roles, including the lead character in the animated series Wait Till Your Father Gets Home, and as the narrator of the syndicated film history documentary series That's Hollywood. Bosley also graced the small screen as Sheriff Amos Tupper in Murder, She Wrote (1984–1988) and as the titular character in Father Dowling Mysteries (1989–1991). Notably, he received a Tony Award for originating the role of Fiorello La Guardia in the Broadway musical Fiorello! (1960). Bosley made notable appearances in various films, showcasing his acting prowess.
