Tom D'Andrea (1909-1998) was an American actor known for his work in films and on television. Born in Chicago, Illinois, D'Andrea started his career as a publicist for notable entertainers such as Betty Grable and Gene Autry. He later transitioned into writing scripts for various television shows, including those of Jack Benny, Eddie Cantor, and Donald O'Connor. In 1941, D'Andrea was drafted into the Army Air Corps and assigned to write a program for Gracie Fields. Impressed by his talent, Fields had him read the lines in the show. D'Andrea continued his acting career after his military service, appearing in numerous films and TV shows throughout his career.
