Tom Ligon

Thomas Ligon is an American actor of Cajun ancestry. He was born on September 10, 1940. Ligon's acting career began in the 1960s and he quickly gained recognition as one of New York's most sought after young actors. He appeared in notable films such as Paint Your Wagon, Jump, and Bang the Drum Slowly, where he also sang the title song. Ligon also had television roles in The Young and the Restless and Oz. Mentored by Gordon Heath in Paris, Ligon's interests shifted towards theater during his time at St. Albans School and Yale University. He has performed on various regional stages, including the Arena Stage.
