Tom Morello
Thomas Baptist Morello (born May 30, 1964) is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, and political activist. He gained fame as a member of the rock bands Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. Morello was also a member of the supergroup Prophets of Rage from 2016 to 2019. He has toured extensively with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Morello has released solo work under the name the Nightwatchman and formed the band Street Sweeper Social Club with Boots Riley. Additionally, he co-founded Axis of Justice, an organization that promotes political activism. Born in Harlem, New York, and raised in Libertyville, Illinois, Morello developed a passion for music and politics during high school and went on to attend Harvard University.
