Tomasz Kot (born April 21, 1977) is a Polish film, television, and theatre actor. With over 30 films, 26 plays, and numerous television series to his name, he has established himself as a versatile performer. Kot received critical acclaim and the Polish Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the 2014 film 'Gods'. He made his debut on the stage of the Dramatic Theatre in Legnica in 1996 and graduated from the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków in 2001. Kot gained popularity for his portrayal of singer Ryszard Riedel in 'Destined for Blues' (2005) and as Zbigniew Religa in 'Gods' (2014). In recognition of his contributions to culture, he was awarded the Medal for Merit to Culture - Gloria Artis in 2015. Kot's notable recent work includes his starring role as Wiktor in Paweł Pawlikowski's 'Cold War' (2018).
