Tommy Chong, born Thomas B. Kin Chong on May 24, 1938, is a Canadian-American comedian, actor, musician, and activist. He is best known for his involvement in the marijuana industry and his marijuana-themed Cheech & Chong comedy albums and movies with Cheech Marin. Chong also played the character Leo on Fox's That '70s Show. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Chong is the son of a Canadian mother of Scottish and Irish heritage and a Chinese father who immigrated in the 1930s. He became a naturalized United States citizen in the late 1980s. Chong's comedic career made a lasting impact on popular culture, and he continues to be recognized for his contributions to the entertainment industry.
