Tommy Morrison Biography
Tommy Morrison (January 2, 1969 – September 1, 2013) was an American professional boxer and mixed martial artist. He competed from 1988 to 2009 and was best known for his left hook and formidable punching power. In 1993, Morrison won the WBO heavyweight title by defeating George Foreman with a unanimous decision. However, he lost the title in his second defense to Michael Bentt the same year. Morrison's acting career included a role in the 1990 film Rocky V, where he starred alongside Sylvester Stallone as Tommy Gunn. He retired from boxing in 1996 after testing positive for HIV but made a brief comeback from 2007 to 2008. Morrison also briefly dabbled in MMA, achieving a notable first-round knockout win over Corey.
