Tommy Tune

Tommy Tune, born Thomas James Tune on February 28, 1939, is an American actor, dancer, singer, theatre director, producer, and choreographer. With a career spanning several decades, Tune has been recognized for his talent and has garnered numerous accolades, including ten Tony Awards, the National Medal of Arts, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, Tune attended Mirabeau B. Lamar High School and Lon Morris College, where he studied dance. He further honed his skills under the tutelage of Patsy Swayze in Houston and Kit Andree in Colorado. Tune holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the University of Houston. Throughout his career, Tune has made notable contributions to the entertainment industry as an actor and director.
