Anthony Steven Crane, born on 8th September 1982, is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender, midfielder, and makeshift centre forward. He had a notable career playing for Sheffield Wednesday and Grimsby Town in the second and third tiers of English football. Crane left Grimsby in 2006 and continued playing in non-league football with Worksop Town and Boston United. Due to personal reasons, including his weight, he decided to quit football in 2008. Crane briefly returned to play for Hallam in 2009 but left after a couple of months. Currently, he resides in Sheffield and participates in amateur football in the city's Saturday and Sunday leagues.
