Tony Gonzalez, born Anthony David Gonzalez on February 27, 1976, is an American former football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. He is regarded as one of the greatest tight ends of all time and holds the records for most receiving yards and receptions by a tight end in NFL history. Gonzalez spent the majority of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he played for 12 seasons after being drafted in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. In his last five seasons, he played for the Atlanta Falcons. Since retiring in 2013, Gonzalez has worked as a football analyst for NFL on Prime Video and previously for CBS Sports and Fox Sports. He finished his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections and was known for his durability and rarely fumbling.
