Tony Lip Biography
Frank Anthony Vallelonga Sr., known by his stage name Tony Lip, was an American actor. He gained recognition for his portrayal of crime boss Carmine Lupertazzi in The Sopranos and his roles as real-life mobsters in Donnie Brasco and Goodfellas. Lip had a small role in The Godfather, marking his film debut. He co-wrote the book Shut Up and Eat! (2005). In the 2018 film Green Book, he was portrayed by Viggo Mortensen, depicting his life as the driver and bodyguard for pianist Don Shirley in the early 1960s. Born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, he grew up in the Bronx.
