Tony Pitts (born 10 October 1962) is an English actor known for his role as Archie Brooks in the long-running British soap opera Emmerdale Farm from 1983 to 1993. Born in Sheffield, England, Pitts came from a working-class family, with his parents working as a joiner and midwife. Originally aspiring to be a physician, he took a different path and began working as a car mechanic. However, his passion for acting led him to pursue a career in the field. In 1983, Pitts landed the role of Archie Brooks in Emmerdale, which became his breakthrough role and brought him recognition in the industry.
