Richard Treat Williams (December 1, 1951 – June 12, 2023) was an American actor known for his roles in film and television. He gained popularity in the late 1970s with his starring roles in the musical Hair and Steven Spielberg's 1941. Williams was best known for his portrayal of Dr. 'Andy' Brown on The WB's Everwood (2002–2006), earning two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. Throughout his career, he received nominations for three Golden Globe Awards, one Primetime Emmy, two Satellite Awards, and an Independent Spirit Award. Williams appeared in numerous films, including Prince of the City (1981), Once Upon a Time in America (1984), The Phantom (1996), and 127 Hours (2010). He also starred as Mick O'Brien on the Hallmark series Chesapeake Shores (2016–2022).
