Tristan Harris

Tristan Harris is an American technology ethicist and co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology. He began his career as a design ethicist at Google and earned his Bachelor's degree in computer science from Stanford University. Harris gained recognition for his appearance in the Netflix documentary The Social Dilemma, where he discusses the addictive and manipulative nature of social media platforms. The film also explores the impact of social media on mental health, particularly among adolescents. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Harris interned at Apple Inc. while studying computer science at Stanford. He later pursued a master's degree at Stanford with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction.
